Crunches are not all theyre cracked up to be. Rowing crunches are good (when you bring your hands in to meet your legs as you do the crunch). You are better off doing the plank exercise. Start lying on your front and lift your body straight like a plank with your elbows pointing down to your feet. Hold for 1 minute. Then do the same on either side. It hurts!!!

I find that by combining the free weights with core exercise you can save a lot of time. If you use the ball thing you stand on, and then do bicep curls, squats and shoulder twists you work out upper body whilst also doing the core

Hi,

As most people are I'm massively busy at the moment and barely have much time for going to the gym. I was hoping people had some tips for how to work the core muscle groups (stomach, lower back etc) efficiently so I can get the 6 pacl back for summer!
